Returns and Exchange Policy 

Pure Tape Hair Extensions offers a returns and exchange policy aligned with industry standards, designed to ensure a seamless experience. Returns or exchanges for any reason are facilitated efficiently, with no hidden conditions, allowing customers to enjoy their purchases with confidence.

  • Quality Assurance: Every order is double-checked and video recorded during selection and packaging to substantiate that colour, quantity, length, attachment type, & customer details are accurate. Our Hair extensions and products are presented in clear, sealed packaging for pre-opening inspection.

  • Exchange Eligibility: Unused, unaltered hair extensions and accessories (e.g., colour rings, microbeads) in their original, unopened packaging may be exchanged or credited within 7 days of receipt, provided returns are completed within 30 days. Store credit is provided upon receipt. Customers are responsible for shipping fees.

  • Return Authorisation: Prior authorisation is required. Please email puretapeservice@gmail.com with return reasons, including colour, length, and desired changes. Our team assists in product selection.

  • Incorrect/Faulty Items: In the unlikely event of a wrongly sent or proven faulty item, a full refund or replacement is offered upon receipt of unopened returns, with the correct item resent free of charge.

  • Conditions: Returns must be unopened, in their original packaging, with the ties and security seal intact.  Customers are responsible for shipping fees.

Shipping Policy

  • Domestic Shipping: Orders placed and paid before 1 PM AEST (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) are generally dispatched same-day via Australia Post Express Post with tracking. Delivery typically takes 1-2 business days; custom items (e.g., wavy styles) may take longer. Orders over $300 require a signature; unclaimed packages returned to us in their entirety will result in a 30-day store credit.

  • International Shipping: Dispatched within 1-2 business days, subject to customs delays. Buyers are liable for customs/import fees; returned packages due to unpaid duties may receive a 30-day exchange voucher.

  • Delays: Pure Tape is not liable for delays due to weather, postal issues, or customs. Delivered items (per Australia Post notification) are final; no refunds or resends apply. Disputed deliveries may be escalated to Australia Post at their discretion.

  • Insurance: Additional insurance is available upon request, pre-payment; contact us for details (extra costs apply).

  • Address: Must match payment method address (e.g., PayPal, Afterpay).

Colour, Length, and Quantity 

  • Exchanges: Unused, intact hair extensions may be exchanged if colour, quantity, or style is unsuitable. Length may be upgraded by up to 2 inches if shorter stock is unavailable. Slight batch variations (e.g., volume, tone) are normal due to human hair’s natural diversity; exchanges are at our discretion.

  • Quality: Remy human hair extensions are high-quality, lasting longer with proper care. Variants in texture, volume or colour may occur due to different donors. 

  • Extra Thick Volume: 

    We are committed to delivering hair extensions with beautiful fullness and quality. Through a meticulous process, we remove shorter hairs to ensure full volume per set, surpassing the offerings of many other brands that may provide lesser weight and/or volume.  Sourced from diverse donors, human hair naturally reflects a range of strand lengths throughout the set, with the longest hair reaching and often exceeding the advertised length, mirroring the authentic variation found in your hair.

Application and Care

  • Application: Avoid washing for 24-48 hours post-application to strengthen bonds. Wash every 2 days, focusing shampoo on roots, and use conditioner on mid-lengths/ends. Use leave-in treatments (e.g., Moroccan oil) and heat protectants. Swim with a braid or cap; dry roots promptly.

  • Maintenance: Brush gently, holding hair to prevent shedding. Avoid direct heat on bonds (e.g., fusion types). Darkening with semi-permanent colour is at your risk; lightning is not recommended.

  • Durability: Regular 6-8 week servicing helps to prevent tangling; unmaintained hair is your responsibility.

Colour Matching

  • Guidance: Our colour chart is indicative; screen resolution may alter shades. Request photos or physical colour rings for precision. Colours may be updated; salons with rings will be notified of significant changes.

Refunds and Exchanges

  • Conditions: Returns must be unopened, in original packaging with bindings intact. Faulty items (verified by technicians) qualify for refunds; non-faulty returns receive store credit. No refunds for change of mind; exchanges are available within 30 days.

  • Cancellation: Pre-dispatch cancellations may yield a 30-day credit note; post-dispatch returns offer exchange or credit. Refunds at our discretion for non-faulty items incur a 20-30% transaction & handling fee plus shipping costs.

  • Custom Orders: Non-refundable/exchangeable (e.g., 28” lengths, custom shades).

  • Fraud Prevention: Returned items are video recorded; any fraudulent attempts result in return at the sender’s expense and reporting to financial institutions.

Acceptance and Liability

  • Agreement: Removal of security seals, bindings and from packaging is deemed an acceptance of quality, quantity, and care terms. Post-application, maintenance and outcomes are your responsibility.

  • Liability: Pure Tape is not liable for damage from misuse (e.g., heat, chemicals) or unserviced tangling. Refunds/exchanges are void if bindings are removed or items are used.

Fraudulent Purchase Or Refund Attempts

At Pure Remy Hair Extensions, we are committed to protecting our business and customers from fraudulent purchase or refund activity. All orders and returns are documented on video upon receipt and during inspection to verify the condition of the items and ensure a transparent process.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward fraudulent transactions. Any returned items that are used, altered, or not in their original, unused condition will be sent back to the purchaser at their cost.

Any attempt to misuse or manipulate our purchase or return policies will be treated as fraud and referred, with full supporting evidence, to the relevant payment provider and legal authorities.

To protect our community, we employ rigorous measures:

  • Transaction Monitoring: All purchases are subject to real-time monitoring for unusual patterns or inconsistencies from new accounts or shipping addresses.

  • Verification Process: Suspected transactions may require additional verification, including identity confirmation or contact with the payment provider, to ensure authenticity or will be cancelled, less any associated processing fees 

  • Collaboration with Financial Institutions: In cases of suspected or confirmed fraud, we promptly report the incident to the relevant financial institution and cooperate fully in investigations, providing evidence such as purchase records and video documentation of order processing.

  • Australia Post Cross-referencing

    We are not responsible for multiple or incorrect addresses entered. No refunds or replacements will be issued for correctly delivered orders.

    All evidence — including Australia Post delivery records, our order data, and photographs/videos of the packages- is retained and will be provided to the bank or any third party. 

  • Accounts: Accounts exhibiting fraudulent behaviour are immediately and automatically banned, reported, and any associated orders are cancelled, excluding any associated fees.

  • Legal Action: Fraudulent transactions, unwarranted behaviour, or attempts to obtain goods by dishonest means will be referred to legal authorities and payment institutions, with all necessary documentation retained.                                         This includes, but is not limited to: filing false non-delivery claims, providing inaccurate or conflicting delivery information, and initiating chargebacks without valid grounds.
